When years of alcoholism and domestic violence finally broke up his parents marriage, 14-year-old José Aldo vowed never to drink or hit his wife. Just a few years later, he got a chance to make good on his promise when he met an older girl named Vivianne at a gym in Rio. In this FIGHT! Life episode, the WEC featherweight champ and 2009 FIGHT! Magazine Fighter of the Year reveals that his young bride may in fact be the secret behind his meteoric rise from the streets of Manaus to the favelas of Rio to the top of the MMA universe.
