Jorge Santiago retained his Sengoku Middleweight Championship, Hatsu Hioki held on to his top-20 ranking, and Nick Thomson continued his skid last night in Japan.

Jorge Santiago def. Kazuo Misaki by TKO (corner stoppage) at 4:31 of Round 5 to retain the Sengoku Middleweight Championship.
Jadamba Narantungalag def. Akihiro Gono by unanimous decision.
Hatsu Hioki def. Jeff Lawson by submission (triangle choke) at 2:09 of Round 1.
Leonardo Santos def. Sotaro Yamada by DQ (illegal groin shots) at 3:56 of Round 1.

Taisuke Okuno def. Nick Thompson by KO (punch) at 0:27 of Round 3

Sengoku Middleweight Champion Jorge Santiago kept hold of his title at Sengoku 14 and moved from #22 to #19 in our Middleweight Rankings with his victory over Kazuo Misaki, who fell from #42 to #51.

In welterweight action, Akihiro Gono continued his slide, dropping a decision to unranked Jadamba Narantungalag and dropping from #33 to #62 in our Welterweight Rankings. Nick “The Goat” Thompson got dropped harder by unranked Taisuke Okuno, suffering a quick knockout loss and falling from #97 to #105.

The only other ranked fighter appearing on the card was Hatsu Hioki, who held on to the #16 spot in our Featherweight Rankings. Leonardo Santos earned his ranking the hard way, entering FIGHT!’s Lightweight Rankings
